Preparing to GO....

You are about to embark on a journey that will change your life forever. God has called you to something greater. He has chosen you to serve in Nicaragua by teaching, loving and sharing about His saving grace and love. But before you go there are several important things that need your attention. We believe to make your time in Nicaragua as effective as possible, it is wise to prepare. Listed below are some very important resourses that either require your input, or you will want to review prior to your mission trip with Partners In Christ. Please take time to review each section.

Valuable Tools Prior to your trip

  • After you have prayed about and accepted the call to serve in Nicaragua, please complete this quick Mission Trip Registration so we wioll know who you are. Each person on a mission team is required to complete this form. It should only take you 10 minutes or less.

  • This little Handbook is packed with information you will need to know prior to your trip. You can read it on line or print it as a pfd.  It is suggested that sections of this Handbook be reviewed together in team meetings.

  • This book is a great resource that all mission teams should read prior to serving in any impoverished area around the world. Sometimes it's hard for us to realize that we can actually do more harm than good when giving. You can see the author interview HERE

  • Take a little time to learn about the country and culture.

  • Download this helpful list of Spanish words and phrases. It helps a lot to at least know common greatings.

  • There's nothing more powerful than a persons personal story of how Christ has transformed their own life.  You should be prepared to share your story while in Nicaragua.  Make it your own, make it personal.  Here's a helpful little resourse to help you put your story together.

  • The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service to allow U. S. citizens and nationals traveling abroad to enroll their trip with the nearest U. S. Embassy or Consulate. We recommend that each team member take a few minutes to complete this registration.
