Short-term mission teams are a vital part of the service God has called PIC to fulfill. Groups from US based church bodies or other Christian groups, who have been called, come together, train and plan their week of ministry with input from the pastors with which they will serve, and with guidance and advise from our stateside director. A team's mission can include a wide variety of activities and events, but all activities focus on evangelizing and discipling the people of the community where they serve with the local pastor. Depending on the spiritual gifts of the team and the needs of the Central American church, the team could do anything from VBS activities to medical clinics. Team often minister in local schools, visit the community homes, repair or expand the church and participate in church services along with the pastor there. After an exciting, emotional and challenging mission trip, team members resoundingly agree that they have been the most blessed and can't wait to begin planning for a return trip.
