STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that God is the one and only living, true God.  He is the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver and Ruler of the universe.  God reveals Himself to us in three persons:  the Father, Jesus Christ the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit.  These three exist with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being.  We understand these truths through the Holy Bible which is the inerrant, inspired Word of God.

We believe that salvation is freely given through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who came to us in human form, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin, Mary.  Jesus Christ died on the cross to redeem mankind from sin.  He was placed in a grave, and arose from the dead three days later, never to die again.  He defeated the death and sin that Satan caused to come upon mankind in the Garden of Eden. He lives today in heaven, exalted at the right hand of God the Father.

Those who accept salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ are redeemed from their sin nature and brought into Holy fellowship with God and now live by the guidance of the indwelling Holy Spirit.  When this life is over, those who are redeemed will go to be with God in heaven in the place He has prepared for them.

We believe the Church is the unified Body of Christ, and includes the fellowship of all those who have faith in Jesus Christ, and have accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior.

Finally, we believe that the Great Commission, recorded in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 28:18-20, is the final command of our Lord Jesus Christ before He left this earth, and is given to all Christians.  His commission is:

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Matthew 28:18-20
